Our team are very experienced in helping education providers overcome these issues when it comes to construction projects. We follow a highly collaborative design process, with a student-centred approach, to deliver functional, inspiring, innovative and future-ready learning environments.
At Form Factory we offer a full architectural service aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work, including:

RIBA Stage 0
We begin our project with a discovery phase where we learn about your estate and your needs. This involves a site visit and a chat to better understand your setting, with the outcome being a design brief that meets your needs. -
RIBA Stage 1
We carry out initial design studies in relation to the various project constraints such as your budget and timescales, the site, planning legislation and buildability. -
RIBA Stage 2
We develop your preferred design option with input from an offsite contractor. Decisions will be made in relation to site layout, structural system, internal layout, and materials. -
RIBA Stage 3
We finalise the design, coordinating the cost plan, structural and services strategies, and outline specification. We then submit the relevant planning application to the local planning authority. -
RIBA Stage 4
We produce technical drawings and schedules to enable the project to be costed and constructed. A Building Regulations application is submitted, alongside applications to discharge any planning conditions. -
RIBA Stage 5
We assist the offsite contractor during the construction phase. This may involve monitoring site progress, addressing site queries or assisting with compiling the Health and Safety File. -
RIBA Stage 6
We produce a full set of As-Built drawings and schedules when the project is handed over. -
RIBA Stage 7
After the project is completed, and as part of our commitment to continual improvement, we will arrange a site visit to come and see you to discuss and review the project outcomes.
